Who we are
RV Clinic is the outpatient obstetrics and gynaecology practice of Dr. Ragavi Vikram, MBBS, DNB (OG), with clinics at Madipakkam and Thalambur, Chennai. The addresses and phone numbers are in the footer of every page. Questions about this policy can be sent to the WhatsApp number shown there.
What this website collects
Nothing you type into this website is stored on it. The call-back form opens WhatsApp on your phone with your details filled in. The message is sent by you, from your WhatsApp account, to the clinic's WhatsApp number. This website has no database and no server-side form processing.
The website may use Google Analytics to count visits and to record when the call and WhatsApp buttons are tapped. This tells us which pages are useful. It does not identify you by name and does not record anything you type. You can block analytics cookies in your browser settings without affecting the website.
The web host keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, time) for security and error checking. These are deleted on the host's normal schedule.
What the clinic collects
When you call or message, the clinic records your name, phone number, the branch you want and, if you give it, the reason for the visit. This is needed to book and confirm your appointment and to call you back.
When you attend, the clinic keeps a medical record: history, examination findings, test results, scan reports, diagnoses, prescriptions and follow-up notes. This is required by law and by good medical practice. Records are kept for the period required under the applicable Indian regulations for medical records, and are kept confidential.
Reports and prescriptions you send on WhatsApp are saved to your file. WhatsApp itself is run by Meta and has its own privacy terms, which apply to messages in transit.
How the information is used
- To book, confirm, change and remind you of appointments.
- To provide your care, including sharing your details with the affiliated hospital when you are admitted for a procedure or delivery, and with laboratories or scan centres that run your tests.
- To answer your questions on the phone or WhatsApp.
- To meet legal requirements, such as records under the PCPNDT Act and other health regulations.
Your information is never sold, and it is not used for marketing lists. The clinic does not send promotional messages.
Who can see it
Dr. Ragavi Vikram and the clinic staff who help with bookings and records. The affiliated hospital, laboratories and scan centres involved in your care. A relative or attender, only if you ask us to share with them. Authorities, only where the law requires it.
Your choices
You can ask to see your records, ask for a copy of your reports, correct a wrong phone number or name, or ask that your WhatsApp number be removed from the clinic's contact list. Send the request on WhatsApp or ask at the clinic. Medical records themselves are retained as the law requires, but contact details used for reminders can be removed at any time.
This policy follows the principles of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and the confidentiality duties of the Indian Medical Council regulations.
Children and teenagers
Records of patients under 18 are held with the consent of a parent or guardian, who may attend the consultation. Read about how the clinic sees younger patients on the adolescent gynaecology page.
